It’s an annual event that makes USF look more like the UN, as students and faculty from over 75 countries unite at the university’s International Festival. This week’s University Beat on WUSF 89.7 is your passport to this year’s Fest, which celebrates some of the worldwide customs and traditions that come together on USF’s Tampa campus.

Radio - During "Morning Edition" on WUSF 89.7 Tuesday after the 6:45 AM and 8:45 AM newscasts | During "All Things Considered" on WUSF 89.7 Tuesday at 5:44 PM | After "Florida Matters" on WSMR 89.1 Monday just before 10:30 PM

Maria Crummett, the Associate Vice President for Global Affairs at USF World, says it’s important that student groups are the ones that organize and run the USF International Festival.

Stacy Koshko, the Assistant Director of the USF Office of Multicultural Affairs, says international travel benefits American students. She also talks about a “buddy program” her office is putting together that matches U-S students with foreign ones.
