As both evidence of and concern over the health repercussions of concussions continue to grow, HealthyState.org and USF Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine are combining forces to present a free concussion education summit.
This week’s University Beat on WUSF TV previews the event, which takes place Monday, March 28 at 7 pm at USF’s College of Education.
The danger of concussions in athletics is a story that's moved from the sports page to the front page. A free educational summit designed to help young athletes, their parents and coaches become more aware of the problem will be held at USF on March 28th. HealthyState.org and USF Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine are co-hosting the summit, and this week’s University Beat on WUSF 89.7 has a preview.
