Accounting Graduation Dance

Accounting Graduation Dance

Probably the last place you expect to see students break into a flash mob style dance number is in the middle of the USF School of Accountancy Graduation Reception, but that’s exactly what happened at the recent ceremony. University Beat was there, and you’ll see exactly what happened on this week’s report on WUSF-TV/DT.

Accounting Graduation Dance

University Beat doesn’t normally cover graduation ceremonies, but when the words “graduating accounting students” and “dancing flash mob” are involved, we’ll make an exception. That’s coming up this week on WUSF 89.7 FM.

Graduating USF Accounting seniors Stephanie Wagenfohr and Rich Grieder, along with Dr. William Stephens, Professor Emeritus of the USF School of Accountancy, talk about the ‘stereotypical accounting student’ and why that’s wrong.

Dr. Stephens, the faculty adviser for USF’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi for over 30 years, says membership in the accounting honors society provides students many benefits.
