Rex Temple, came up with the Afghanistan school supply drive during a humanitarian mission this past June. Liisa talks about what her husband is doing during his fourth (and final) tour of duty in Afghanistan. Nicole Johnson, Director of Education & Outreach at the USF Diabetes Center, talks about her recent trip to visit the troops in Afghanistan with fellow former Miss Americas. Nicole, a USF graduate, was Miss America 1999. Liisa, who’s currently on leave from USF, says she appreciates all the help she’s received from USF, both personally and with the school supply drive. |
