Discovering Ghana Through the Gilman International Scholarship

USF student and Gilman International Scholarship winner Farah Britto didn’t know what to expect when she traveled to the west African country of Ghana. What she discovered was a beautiful and culturally-rich place that she believes more U.S. students should visit.

In this video, Britto documents her experiences abroad in Ghana over a five week stay from June 30 through August 5, 2011.

She hopes to promote the Gilman Scholarship as a great resource for students interested in studying abroad, and intends to inspire mass communications students to take advantage of the field experiences that is allowed by education abroad. She is a senior and double major in mass communications and anthropology.
