Who knew that you could sign up for a chance to get to go to the Kennedy Space Center to talk to scientists, and observe a launch?

NASA is go for the Mars Rover "Curiosity" launch this weekend and self-described lifelong "space geek" Charlie Kersey of Lakeland will be there for the tweetup, which is a "meet up" of invited twitter users at the Cape.

Kersey will be part of an exclusive group of 150 twitter users who will be briefed on the Rover mission by scientists.

He says he will be following the mission until it lands on the red planet sometime next August.

The Rover mission will search for tiny signs of life.
