Early Voting for Primary Begins

The early voting period begins today statewide and lasts through the weekend before election day.

Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Kurt Browning says the extended voting period doesn't necessarily mean more people will cast ballots, but it does help the electoral process run more smoothly.

BROWNING The impact that it's had on us is that for every voter that goes in and casts a ballot early, it really is one less potential issue that we may have on election day.

Browning also says that voters need to bring a photo and signature identification with them.
