Saturday Spotlight: Woody Herman Centennial
Woody Herman led a succession of big bands for around 50 years, from 1936 well into the 1980's. He nurtured great young players and, while playing hits such as 'Four Brothers' and 'Early Autumn,' kept the band's repertoire updated and modern through the years. We'll hear music by a few of those Herman 'Herds' as we celebrate the Woody Herman Centennial on Saturday Night Jazz.
