Oscar Peterson with Marian McPartland

Oscar Peterson was born in Montreal, 89 years ago this weekend. His amazing virtuosity and 'Will to Swing' (the title of his biography by Gene Lees) made Peterson a worldwide favorite for decades, beginning with a breakthrough at Carnegie Hall in a Jazz at the Philharmonic concert. We'll revisit a delightful hour of music and conversation, with Oscar joining Marian McPartland, Saturday evening.
