Bands & Beer on the Bay
The Black Honkeys are back! The Kiwanis Club of Safety Harbor and the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center are teaming up to present this charitable event for the second year. We'll have bands, craft beer, wings, food trucks, a VIP tent, beer/wine passes, and more, all at Safety Harbor Waterfront Park.
GENERAL ADMISSION STILL $5
Get into Safety Harbor Waterfront Park for the entire day for just $5.
Kicking off the festival at 4 p.m. (gates open at 3:30) will be local favorite Jeriko Turnpike. They describe themselves as "... all things Rock. Sometimes acoustic, sometimes heavy, sometimes technical but always melodic and heartfelt." You may have seen them play 8th avenue pub and The Hideaway. Our festival will give them a chance to crank it up and energize the crowd early in the day.
At 5:30 will be The Hard Luck Society from Gainesville, Florida. They'll mix it up with some pedal steel and upright bass. "We play everything from old jazz standards to Western Swing to Rockabilly and everything in between." Come out to swing along!
At 7 p.m. Four Star Riot from Clearwater, Florida hits the stage. They hail from Clearwater, Florida , but have shared the stage with national acts like Bon Jovi and Maroon 5. With several original albums, they deliver stick-in-your-head pop/rock choruses.
We can't thank The Black Honkeys enough for headlining again. They'll have you dancing 8:30 to 10 p.m. You know they rock, but did you know they also donate a ton of time? #TheBlackHonkeysand THEIR FANS know how to rock and how to give back.
Sample and vote on the best chicken wings in Tampa Bay from 4 to 6 p.m. Get 6 wings for just $5 from a variety of local restaurants. You may keep buying tickets until the wings are gone (last year they lasted until 6:30). We're still adding wing vendors, but so far they include Dochos Latin Bistro, Whistle Stop Grill and Bar, Hot Butts BBQ, Abe's Place Tap & Grill, and Miss Hazels Kitchen.
Here's our early food truck/food vendor lineup: Hot Butts BBQ, The Best Thai, King's Bistro, PG Fondues, Jimmys Slider Truck, Flip'n Tasty Filipino Food Truck, Florida Citrus Country, Mookie's Kettle Korn. We're in talks with a few more.
We'll be adding more vendors this year - think everything from jewelry to snacks. While all our food truck spots are taken, or in negotiations, food vendors that don't need to cook (think to-go snacks) are welcome in the vending area. Fee is $95. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for a vendor application.
BEER & WINE
Safety Harbor's Crooked Thumb Brewery will offer 5 kinds of craft brews, Ed's Fine Wines will offer a variety of wine. We'll also have Miller Lite, Blue Moon, and Terrapin beers. All alcoholic beverages will be $5 each.
BEER & WINE PASSES
Get 4 alcoholic beverages of your choice for just $17, a 15 percent savings, by purchasing a Beer & Wine Pass before the event. We're selling just 400 of these and expect them to sell out online before the event.
We're the best VIP deal in the area at $60. You'll have access to private air-conditioned bathrooms, a covered tent with seating and fans, water, pre-dinner sandwiches from Jimmy John's, a full dinner catered by Amici's Catered Cuisine, Inc., salad from 8th avenue pub, meatballs from Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, desserts from MissHazels Kitchen, two drink tickets (and the ability to buy more without leaving the tent), a good sightline to the stage and much more. We expect these to sell out online before the event.
We'll offer $5 GA, $60 VIP, $17 Beer & Wine Passes and $5 Wings Throwdown tickets online in April. GA and Wings Throwdown tickets will also be available at the gates. Get tickets at https://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?oeidk=a07ee0y294a36c19cfa&oseq&c&ch
